Ieeeeeee!
Okay, so a couple of days ago I ordered a PSX to PC adaptor, so that I can use my hard DDR pads with my laptop, and then through the TV. I ordered it from a UK site (adaptor priced £25 plus P&P), and it arrived this morning. I got to test it out at around lunchtime, only to find that it wasn't compatable with DWI (it maps the D-Pad to axes instead of buttons). I called them, arranged to return it, and looked for an adaptor which WILL work with DWI.
I finally found one on a US site, and was happy that they ship to the UK. I ordered it, and it's on it's way. All in all, it's cheaper getting it from the US! (Just over £20)

From what I gather, you need a converter that can put the pad into analog mode (which also allows it to appear as four buttons (allowing two-foot moves) instead of two axes).
BTW, have you seen PyDDR? Python-based DDR. Open source, add your own tracks with ease :)
