I think you're confusing a bunch of people with similar ideas and feelings to yourself, with a bunch of fuckwits who think being in IRC god is the pinnacle of worldly success.
I've always hated IRC long before I got 'involved' with furry. IRC is always the same, regardless of race, fandom, network or channel. Tt just somehow seems to breed repugnant human beings.
Well IRC is IRC :) But I meant as a more general thing. We've just been burnt by too many furs as 'friends of convenience'. We help furs out as we can when they have problems and stuff, and then when their problem is solved (or the situation changes slightly), we're just forgotten about and thrown to the wind :( Only happens with the furry friends who we actually see, not the non-furry friends who we see :/
