ConFuzzled Report

I really can't say much here report wise as I'd mostly be saying that I was running around working.
What I can say is that despite my feet hurting for most of the con (running around a lot kinda does that ;) ) I had an absolutely wonderful time. I'd like to thank all those who attended for having faith in us, and especially those who financially supported CF with Supporting registrations.
A few figures for enquiring minds:
The dealers did extremely well over the two days that they were selling stuff. Our con dealer table also did very well, which coupled to the amount of money raised in the art auction for the Badgers Trust gave us roughly £1,500 to donate to them.
The venue also pulled nearly £5,000 in drinks and snacks. Many times the bar staff had to go to the cash & carry to get more stuff to sell!
Not surprisingly, the venue is more than happy for us to return next year. :)
I'm really looking forward to ConFuzzled next year (I'll be staffing again, obviously). More info about ConFuzzled 09 will be announced at the end of July. :)

Date: 2008-06-24 09:18 am (UTC)My only suggestion for next year is to have a window of maybe an hour or so before the auction where the pieces would be on show on tables in the Badger Room, so that potential buyers can have a good look over the wares on sale and maybe start some bidding wars before opening bidding :)
And you guys on the staffing squad worked your asses off all weekend, which made for an excellent con - cheers fellas :)

Date: 2008-06-24 11:38 am (UTC)It's a pity I couldn't attend, myself; I certainly would've liked to. But it's good to hear you did well, at least, that you had fun, that you got raised a nice amount for the Trust (1500 GBP is *great*!), and that the venue will be happy to host the con again next year. ^^
*snuggles* You've all done terrific work.

Date: 2008-06-24 11:52 am (UTC)I think I'm hearing things too as every now and then I keep thinking I just heard someone poking me on the staff radios to come and do more running around with keys n other stuff hehe.
I had a yummy 12 hours sleep last night but I think I need more as I'm still worn out :p
