Garish backgrounds, horribly designed sites, color schemes that'd make a dog's eyes water, stupidly long pages of text, and those annoying animated gifs (although those have been replaced with flash now).
If I have to scroll horizontally across a web page on a display with a resolution of 1680x1050 then there's something wrong.
