Holiday/Vacation Update

Hello Montana!
Feb. 1st, 2008 10:36 amdamonblackpaw and I are currently in Montana after a two day drive from Boulder Creek, through Nevada, Idaho, and then into northern Montana. We're staying with Damon's parents.There is snow EVERYWHERE.

We'll be staying here until Wednesday next week (6th Feb) when we head back to Portland. I should be around Portland for the 7th Feb and then I'll be flying back to the UK on the 8th Feb.
In other news, I want to see Cloverfield badly. :D

Tonight after having chinese at a wonderful restaurant I got (sorta) drunk and then went dancing in fursuit. That was so amazingly awesome. I'm still bouncing off the walls right now. ^_^

To make my trip to Manchester Airport on the morning of 17th January easier, I'm going to be spending the afternoon/night over at cavebearranting's place (in Leeds) and then early in the morning I'll be getting a taxi from his place to Leeds Train Station, catching the 05:55 train direct to Manchester Airport, arriving at 07:12. A bit over three hours later and I'll be on a plane flying to the USA!
As is usual I am incredibly excited about the journey. I'm looking forward to seeing my friends again and to getting some hardcore con action done. ;D
In the meantime I'm probably just gonna sit around and squee a lot. XD

Of course this makes me really fucking happy. :D
As far as I currently know, I'll be DJing on Friday night (technically Saturday morning) from 00:15 to 02:00. This could change depending on how things pan out but despite the late running I'm more than happy to be doing this. :D
And another really awesome thing is thatgodzuki will be DJing just before me. :D
Oh, and in case you're wondering where we will be DJing, it'll be the mezzanine area near Main Stage (top of the stairs).

January Holiday / Vacation
Dec. 14th, 2007 09:15 amIn five weeks time I'll be in Portland, OR (will have arrived seven hours earlier, at 5pm PST). I'll probably be in bed with damonblackpaw too. ^^
I'll be in and round Portland for six days before Damon and I leave for FC on the 23rd Jan (Wednesday). We're gonna be driving down from Portland to FC, hopefully on the I-5 (or Route 101 if I-5 is affected by adverse weather), setting off early in the morning and probably arriving late afternoon/evening.
Just in case you're wondering I'll only be taking one fursuit with me to FC, Graafen. The reason for this will be kinda obvious if you read my journal regularly, but just in case you've missed it I'll be collecting my husky fursuit (Radinov) at FC and it'll be a pain brining three fursuits back to the UK unless I ship one of them.
Speaking of Radinov, the DTD was received by the fursuit maker yesterday so all that remains for me to do is to send the last of the money owed (which happens on Tuesday 18th Dec).
After FC Damon and I are planning to speak sometime withdark_fang and ysengrin, and then we'll be heading up to see his parents in Montana, then finally back to Portland before I fly home.
I'm actually looking forward to meeting Damon's parents. He's told them a lot about me and they seem pretty cool about our relationship. :)

Sleep and Money
Nov. 22nd, 2007 01:01 amCan't sleep right now due to uncertainty regarding money, so I did a few calculations using Gnumeric.
After bills and expenses for December (paid November 23rd) I will have left over: £130 from £1012. This is emergency money.
After bills and expenses for January (paid December 18th) I will have left over: £200 from £1012. This too is emergency money.
This means two things.
1: Sorry Badger, that arrangement we made earlier today is not doable for me. If you don't mind waiting until after FC for our arrangement then I'll be in a much better position financially. If that's not possible then it's only my loss and I hope that you're able to find someone else to buy those items from you.
2: Depending on how much my secret project budgets to I may have to put him back until after New Year, giving me two weeks of work time.
There, I feel much better now having written that down. :)
EDIT: The moon, although not full, is shining brightly through my window. :D

All that's left to do now is the following:
1) Ressurect Thalyi. 1
2) Get a large holdall.
3) Book a taxi/airport shuttle from Wakefield to Manchester Airport.

The exact details of this are a secret that only certain parties know about, but all in all I should be able to get it done within the 16 day limit I have given myself (eight weekends from 24th November onwards). All in all he shall be revealed at FC2008.
