Midweek

Well would you look at that, Wednesday already.

Anyway things are going nice and smooth recently, although I think I'm gonna take a break from Instant Messengers for a week or so while I get a couple of imperative things done. If you want me you can still contact me via email, details of which are on my userinfo page.

With regards to the PBERPG I'll be sending out an email to those who are interested later today. I've decided to run it on phpBB, installed on one of my webservers. Once it's all configured and everything is as I want it I'll start the game.

I still need to get I Don't Make Tea off the ground. I've had about five different ideas which I've just not been happy with in the end. Hopefully I'll settle on one soon.

The gallery at Werewolf Inside is in the process of being upgraded to Gallery2. Once that's done I'll try and finish the rest of the site.

So after pondering and deliberation I've decided that idontmaketea.com will be used for web publishing. Now I've gotta start looking into all the legal mumbo-jumbo regarding something like this; tax, copyright, etc. Hopefully it'll turn out to be a nice little earner.

The go-live date is... whenever. I've got other websites to do before I start on another personal project.

Remember the wireless access point I bought a few weeks ago? Thank fsck for that. I seem to be able to concentrate a lot more sat in the living room with my laptop than I do in my bedroom. Plus if I have a brain-fart I can always jump on the PS2 for 30 minutes or so.

And I'm also sloowly running out of things to write, so I'll leave it here. c.c

P.S. If you remember the cartoon "Doug", this might amuse you some.
P.P.S. I'm so loving Punks and Nerds right now. OMG FURRIES!

Weekend

Well this weekend was spent relaxing. All I did was play Resident Evil 4 and work on websites.

It was well worth it. ^_^

I've been thinking about turning idontmaketea.com into my web publishing site, offering website creation and maintainence services.

More on this later.

Firstly, Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] mr_wolf! Have a good 'un. :D

Last night was my first late shift, and it went as was expected. I've decided that tonight I'll upload the website I'm working on currently (after I finish reshuffling the directory) so that I can work on it if ever I'm away from my home computer.

This website has actually inspired me to create a new PHP script, which I'm idly working on now. It's designed to check the current folder for a CSS file with the same name as the folder; if it finds one then it will load that, but if it doesn't it will load the "global" one. I'll post it here when I finish it. :)

That's all for now, cheeri-bye!

So it's getting closer to the weekend now and I'm quite looking forward to it. It'll be a chance to catch up on sleep and I'll also have some time to work on a couple of websites for various people, including one which I want to overhaul completely from HTML to PHP, which should allow for more funky stuff as well as easing the update process in the future. As much JavaScript as possible will be removed from the site as well in favour of Perl and PHP scripts. I'm not allowed to talk about it, but I've got good vibes about it. :)

I'm also looking to get myself a wireless access point for home, mainly so that I can play games and do work in the living room. CCL Computers have the cheapest I've seen and [livejournal.com profile] wolfarlis offered to take me there on Tuesday after I'd got back from America, but I was too tired at the time for the journey. Had I been a little more awake I would have taken him up on the offer and I wouldn't be stuck without one now.

Ohyes, the PCWorld website sucks donkey balls for having at least one part of it broken every time I visit it.

I'm seriously considering freelancing myself more for web design and construction. Currently I've created and manage two websites for other people and they pay me a little each month for it, but it could be a nice little winner.

ToDo List:
- Finish personal website - http://werewolf-inside.com
- Work on a website for said venture

I'll attempt both of those in my chill times over the next few weeks. Hooray for laptops! :D

Website foo

As I suspected I've got more motivation to sort of a website for someone else than I have to do my own. Oh well.

May I present the holding page for MightyEvan.com, the official website of the band Mighty Evan!
The underlying framework is complete (php goodness!), all I'm waiting on now is content. I'm going to visit the band later on this evening to discuss designs and content. I'll probably stick WordPress on there to allow them to write their own news updates or their own blog, set up a gallery, maybe a guestbook too.

I must admit that I'm actually quite enjoying the prospect of doing websites for others. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] gravecat for getting me into PHP</a. :D
