I'm thinking of running a Play-by-Post RPG with a post apocalyptic setting. I've yet to iron out the setting fully but it would kinda be based on a mixture of Fallout and After The Bomb.

It will be a relaxed game, in that the game will only move as fast as the players are willing to go. As such there will be a minimum player post of one per week (may change if the game picks up).

If anyone is interested then please feel free to leave a comment. If there is enough interest then I shall set the game up. :)

Suddenly I've got the urge to run a game of "All Flesh Must Be Eaten", because it's got zombies, and it'd rock. :3

Dammit, I really need to get some time to game regularly.

Looks like I might actually get the chance to play in a decently reccuring RPG session (two out of three weeks) with one of my co-workers.

What this will mean, if I do go in for this, is that Monday and Tuesday evenings (except those that I am working) will be spent at Patriot Games in Sheffield, playing D&D 4th Ed.

I'm actually quite looking forward to this as I haven't played any actual pen and paper RPGs in a long while.

Oh man, where does time go?

Work
Generally things are going OK. Working OOH is good. As expected I'm really not in the mood to do anything whilst I'm working, which is only understandable considering the 12hr shifts. The weeks off (one out of every three) are a $DEITY send; I've really been able to crack on with stuff during them.

For example: [livejournal.com profile] r4nger5 and I have been able to get the pilot episode of R4nger5 TV done and online. We haven't got as much feedback as we had expected but I suppose that's not surprising consider that it is a pilot.

Fursuiting

$DEITY'S-SON, I really want to go fursuiting. The last two times I've been fursuiting this year have been the LF meet at the end of March and when [livejournal.com profile] frost_t_wolf and [livejournal.com profile] shivonhusky came over. Fursuiting nao plz. XD
Ah well, CF is just around the corner. :)

Music

Skindred has been filling my ears with awesome recently. <3

London

I am so missing the LondonFurs furmeets. I really wish I could go, but every single LF meet falls on a day when I am working, and with ConFuzzled and EuroFurence taking up my holiday allowance for the rest of the year I can see it being next year when I get to attend an LF meet.

Does anyone know if there's anything planned to happen with furs in London that falls on the weekend before the tri-weekly meets?

PnP RPGs

I really want to get into running a weekly Pen and Paper RPG once I move into my own place in Leeds, but I'm actually having trouble finding a group to join. I probably just need to find a group of people I can game comfortably with and just invite them over. Or maybe something can be done via Skype... *ponderponder*

Damon

OMG Damon's moving soon! *dance* ^_^

And that's it for this post really.

Gah!

As mentioned in one of my recent entries I'm going to be running a Beyond the Supernatural game with [livejournal.com profile] cavebearranting and a few other people here in Wakefield.

I had a few ideas that I was playing about with, but I've settled on one now. I'm gonna write about it here but not mention any of the major plot details.

----

About six months ago a gruesome spree of vicious murders spread across the English countryside. 20 people were killed, until the police finally discovered the murderer; a lesser Demon.

The beast was slain, but at the cost of a further six police officers. Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Home Secretary Jacqui Smith submitted the Occult Investigation Bill to Parliament, which was surprisingly voted for unanimously by both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, enacting into Law on October 1st 2007 as the 2007 Occult Investigation Act.

This act provided the basis for the creation of two government departments: the "Department of Supernatural Research" (DSR), and the "Supernatural, Paranormal, and Occult Reaction Executive" (SPORE).

DSR is tasked with scientific research into the Occult, Magic, and supernatural Biology.
SPORE is tasked with investigating all crimes that are deemed to be related to the Supernatural, Paranormal, or Occult. They are charged with apprehending, and in very extreme cases slaying, supernatural criminals.

The characters will at first be the only operatives of SPORE at it's inception and will have special dispensation from the government (making use of the 2007 Occult Investigation Act) to bend some laws to protect the public.

----

And that's all I'm gonna say about it for now. Anything else will spoil the game. ;)

In the six hours I've been working today I've contacted 70 people to deal with their computer problems.

Compare this with a normal day where I usually get 20 in eight hours.

Also note that I'm not the first line helpdesk or second line support, but third line technical, and I'm dealing with calls that should be dealt with by the first and second lines. This all boils down to the fact that we haven't got around to the real problems that we're contracted to deal with.

Hopefully this will all quiet down by Wednesday at the latest, considering that we've raised complaints with the first and second line teams for fobbing off their work. But this does mean that I won't be on IM's much tonight as I'll be too knackered for it. That and I want to write some stuff for my BTS campaign.

Sorry folks, maybe tomorrow or Wenesday.
