Last night was better than yesterday. Thanks for all your support guys.

In the latter part of last night I jumped on Guild Wars with [livejournal.com profile] schnee. It was shorter than I had hoped as I had to head off to bed, but hopefully we'll have a longer session tonight. :)

It's Tuesday and I'm feeling quite tired, but this is most likely due to the fact that I've caught a goddamn cold and I'm coughing and sneezing every few seconds. It seems that I am not the only one either, as quite a few of my work colleagues have a cold too. x_x

DoD:Source was released last night (whilst I was asleep, no less) so I'll probably try it out tonight along with getting some time into BF2 and possibly Guild Wars.

In other news I'm looking through prospective pubs and bars for the Leeds furmeet, trying to find one that has a private function room for us to use. The daft thing is that I know of loads of places in Wakefield that would do, but none in Leeds. ;)

More later.

EDIT: Trust there to be a Leeds United match on the day of the Leeds meet. x_x

Woo!

Just an hour until it's the weekend for me! *dance* I've decided that I'm going to finish Half Life 2 TONIGHT which will leave the remainder of my spare time for Guild Wars and Battlefield 2, maybe do a little website work too.

Music wise I've been listening to Clannd and Enya a lot after buying "Lore" (Clannad) and "Paint the Sky with Stars" (Enya). I've always liked this style of music and it's plainly obvious that Enya has drawn on what she learnt in Clannad.
Of all the songs I've been listening to, I've found Enya's "Boadicea" and Clannad's "Croi Croga" particularly moving. It's not often that songs give me goosebumps, but these two tracks really play with me.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating, music means a lot to me. Too bad that I've got no natural rhythm...

I'm gonna start on a little Hallowe'en project soon. Hallowe'en's really the only event of the year I truly enjoy, everything else pales in comparison. There's something about it that seems more real and magical than any other event in the year and it makes me feel content deep inside. This year I'm gonna prepare everything in advance and I'll have a little Wiccan celebration too. :)

Lastly there's only four more months (18 weeks) until I fly out to Portland to see the PDX crew for a week, then on to FC to spend a week with [livejournal.com profile] dark_fang and [livejournal.com profile] ysengrin. I'm really looking forward to those three weeks on the eastWEST side of America, it'll be great to see all my friends again. :)

I think that's enough rambling for now. Laters!

*yawn*

Well it's Tuesday and I'm back in work after a much needed three day weekend (thanks to the Bank Holiday)!

The York meet on Saturday rocked, thanks guys!

Guild Wars is keeping me busy on an evening. The reason I dropped Matrix Online was that I wasn't getting as much satisfaction out of it as I was from Guild Wars. Speaking of which I spent some of Saturday night playing Guild Wars with [livejournal.com profile] ysengrin before it went titsup. I really need to play it more instead of procrastinating.
The rest of Saturday and Sunday night was spent playing HL2:DM with [livejournal.com profile] dark_fang, which was fantastic! What a beatiful game it is... *happy sigh*

For those who don't already know [livejournal.com profile] noble_reloaded sent me piccies last night of Boswell's complete head! Piccies are in my previous post and my gallery.

More later as events warrent!

Woohoo

TFI Friday (no, not the Chris Evans show)! :D

I spent a good hour of so playing Guild Wars with [livejournal.com profile] schnee, which was quite fun. I need to play it more often. :)
After the hour or so I started experiencing some major lag which ended up with my disconnection from the game and inhibility to reconnect successfully for the rest of the evening.

I took the oppourtunity to install and play Half Life 2 for a little while. It's a nice surprise to see games automatically set the graphics to high everything and run uber smoothly at those settings. ^.^

I'll give it to Valve, they really know how to set the scene. Source is beautiful and I'm sure will end up being a mod-makers fave for a long time to come, just as the original Half-Life did. :)

Anyway, more later!

P.S. I should have an update on Boswell after this weekend! :D

Last night

So last night was spent mostly alternating between Guild Wars and Battlefield 2. I have to say that I am very impressed with Battlefield 2, it's a lot more fun than Battlefield 1942 was, that and I prefer contemporary games over historical ones.

Guild Wars made me smile last night, I'm now able to play it with the graphics settings up full at 1600x1200. It's quite yummy like that. :>

I'm gonna try upping the graphics on Planetside tonight and then go kill stuff, see if I still like it (hint[livejournal.com profile] jacelhint). After that I'll probably go on Guild Wars again, maybe go questing with [livejournal.com profile] schnee for a bit. :)

In other news it's the York NorthernFurs this weekend, so I'll be bouncing around there again. I'll also be recording short interviews for VLF's next show (which is the weekend after, folks), so watch me running around with a dictation machine. ;>

Last night was pretty "spur-of-the-moment". [livejournal.com profile] electricdog sent me a message just after work asking if I'd like to pop over, so I did. :)

I got back from Sheffield around 11pm and kinda went straight to bed.

Tonight I plan to start playing BF2 for a little and then spend some time on GW.

I'm also tempted to invest in Star Wars Galaxies as the triple box set is stupid-cheap right now. Any opinions on SWG?

It's only seven days until AC now, and in light of this I'm sorting all the pictures I've taken at previous conventions ready to be uploaded to Werewolf-Inside.
Currently I've sorted snaps from AC2002 and AC2003, which were taken on my crappy 35mm camera (bleh) and thus suck. I need to dig out the digital snaps I took from FC 2005 and get those ready for uploading.

If Guild Wars doesn't swallow my soul this weekend I'll get on with actually getting the base website uploaded to Werewolf-Inside, maybe work on some graphics for it too.

Despite this summer being really hot and muggy, I'm still having a great time. :D

This weekend I'll be going down to London for the furmeet and to spend some time with [livejournal.com profile] sphelx, and then 10 days after (two weeks today, 7th July) I'm heading out to Anthrocon for a long weekend. EF takes place a couple of weeks after that (squee!). This summer is gonna rock. :D

Had a nice convo with [livejournal.com profile] damoncanine last night, was very insightful and kinda explained a lot of things. Good luck to you, hon! :)

MMORPG-wise I've just been playing Guild Wars mostly. I did get Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst, but I have to say that I'm really unimpressed with it. The graphics are only slightly better than they are on the Dreamcast version, and they keyboard control method can be figity. I've still got 13 days left of the trial, so I'll give it some time.

I'm also on XFire now as "thalifer". Feel free to add me. :)

I've also decided to get a copy of Battlefield 2 tomorrow, as it looks absolutely gorgeous and (surprisingly) runs better on my machine than BF1942 ever did!

More later as required. :)
