I'm really not feeling any better than I did yesterday, still caught up in the throngs of flu in a semi-ill state (ill enough to feel crap but not ill enough to warrant calling in sick).
I did however spend most of last night trying to get TIE Fighter running decently under DOSBox but even with the CPU cycles set to 20,000 it can get very laggy in-flight when there are lots of aircraft and explosions. To this end I've decided to try it at progressively higher CPU Cycles (starting with 30,000) and failing that install FreeDOS onto a Virtual Machine onto which I will also install TIE Fighter. This should hopefully allow the game to run better.
I also got around to playing The Beast Within. I've been wanting to play this game for a while now, as it involves werewolves and has some nice wolf footage in it. ;)
Tis a nice game, but the acting leaves something to be desired.
That's it for now, I'll have a better update later.
