As I suspected I've got more motivation to sort of a website for someone else than I have to do my own. Oh well.

May I present the holding page for MightyEvan.com, the official website of the band Mighty Evan!
The underlying framework is complete (php goodness!), all I'm waiting on now is content. I'm going to visit the band later on this evening to discuss designs and content. I'll probably stick WordPress on there to allow them to write their own news updates or their own blog, set up a gallery, maybe a guestbook too.

I must admit that I'm actually quite enjoying the prospect of doing websites for others. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] gravecat for getting me into PHP</a. :D

How far have you got with your php shininigans then?

It was sometime around the summer when I last had a fiddle, trying to create my ldap address book, and more or less completely forgotten it all now :(

*smirks* PHP rocks, and there's just something very very satisfying about making something like that for others (even better when you enjoy it -and- get paid for it).

I recently got a freelance assignment, where I have to maintain something another person wrote, and it has got to be the worst code I have ever seen. No concept of arrays, constantly opening and closing connections to MySQL (up to 24 times in one script!!!), and worst of all.. Retrieving every single item from a table (2000+), for each time he want to display 35.. Now -that- is evil.. Currently in the process of rewriting larger parts of it, so that it uses classes, arrays, and other nice PHP features. ^^
