I haven't drunk Coffee in a long while, but I decided that I'd have a cup whilst at work and now I'm addicted again. X_X

I'm drinking Rocket Fuel again, which is surpisingly tasty.

I've decided that I'm going to play around with Linux From Scratch in an effort to create a working Linux installation which will run from a USB keyring drive, customised to my own personal requirements and with no unecessary crap. I'm quite stoked about that, actually. :D

Heh, I keep meaning to do that too, and get the folf installing LFS at the same time.

Would be handy to get the book but the shipping costs more than the book itself, grr!

Bah. Caffeine is for losers. Real Programmers struggle through that mid-morning fade (or learn to snooze with their eyes open :)

I cut coffee out of my life for a few months. Wow, that was a bad idea. I have no idea how I survived those caffiene deprived months, but me and my dear, sweet friend coffee hang out every morning again! ^_^

LFS is nice, but I think it seriously lacks one thing - namely, a packaging system of some sort. I've run it in the past, but unless something has changed, you'll probably run into problems sooner or later when you try to upgrade your system. (Unless you really grok Linux to begin with, I guess, but if did, you wouldn't need LFS to install your own Linux system from scratch, anyway).

And FWIW, a packaging system is not incompatible with the "roll your own" approach, either. :) I'm not sure if there's a similar distro that actually uses one, though.

I used to have a cup of Rocket Fuel every morning, i'm sensitive to Caffeine (I use it to get my metabolism to normal first thing in the morning). Rocket Fuel doesn't seem to be very consistent so i swapped to proper coffee and Guarana pills! Its tastes better too!

The full chemical name for caffeine is 1,3,7-trimethylxanthine and its chemical formula is C8H10N4O2

In its pure form, an un-offensive white powder...

Binding to adenosine receptors in the brain to cause heightened reaction times, and stimulating dopamine to give you that 'kick'

However, I prefer to call it my lord and overruling master and bow to it whenever I can!

And Yeah LFS Is worthy to be played with! as the foxie said though, annoyingly more expensive to have it shipped over than to pay for it!

Ah, Rocket Fuel. I've gone off that...

...I bought that in soluble form, and drank it during the exam period like crazy during some of those cram in night before exam type moments. Then, when that first jar was finished, I made a mistake. I bought some more, then made the cuppa as normal. Then I couldn't work out why it wasn't dissolving properly like it should - the brown bits were just floating about. Then I looked at the packet... I'd bought the filter coffee version by mistake!

In hindsight, it probably didn't help that I drank it anyway...
