This is what I spent my morning doing. Granted it took a lot longer than I expected; from start to finish (filming, editing, sfx, foley, conversion, upload) took around four hours. It's an homage to RoboCop and the "Robot Wars" episode of Spaced (series 2, episode 3, "Mettle").

NOTE: I do swear in this video, so quite NSFW.

Yes, I know there are some things wrong with it. This was my first attempt at SFX.

For those who are interested this was done in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere pro.

Feedback and constructive criticism (a long shot, I know ;) ) are appreciated.

For a moment there I thought I was seeing a Dark Star video diary moment, but I guess that's just the bearded talking head straight into the camera.

Needs more lighting and/or a different t-shirt so your beard and clothing don't merge into one. Plus just a simple flashing light onto your face would make it clearer that the machine is indeed there.

I'm not entirely sure about the finger clicking. I kind of makes you look like Foxy Cleopatra or someone like that. "Oh, no you d'int, Girlfriend. *snap snap snap*"

But otherwise, very nice. The proper Robocop/DOS commands (why Robocop ran DOS we shall never know. Maybe that was where his problems lay), the "tracking" effects are good. Perhaps some random boxes on your face in the early stages would be good, too. Y'know, spotting the face, tracking the eyes. If you want to get really fancy, clone your mouth into a little box in the corner. Just some little things to imply that "The Computer is Thinking..."

Ah. I have plenty of "good ideas" to spare. Well, Ideas at least. Most of them are either impractical or idiotic, but if'n you want more, do say.

I think it's pretty good. The tracking effect made me giggle, having some experience in those matters. :)

You're enbearded again!

I thought the default robot bios was to kill things?? Isn't that what all the movies show? LOL.
