Another Geeky Radio Update

I've had a little look around and thanks to some advice from
miyabisan and
tryst_fel_cath I've got a new studio equipment list.
1x Peavey PV6 Compact Mixer
1x Behringer B-CONTROL DEEJAY BCD3000 DJ Mixer
2x Samson C01 Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphones
2x Samson SP01 Shockmount for C01
2x Behringer HPX2000 High-Def DJ Headphones
Plus a few other bits like cables and such.
Although I'm not yet sure whether or not to go with desktop microphone stands or anglepoise ones. I've seen an anglepoise one from Beyerdynamic which comes with a built in XLR mic cable, but there seems to be no information as to whether it's balanced or unbalanced, and I'd rather have balanced.
I'm gonna call a few places today and see what the story is. If they're unbalanced then I'll be going for desktop mic stands.
Lupus Ex Machina is slowly returning. Now we just need a show banner. :D

Date: 2008-10-23 06:14 am (UTC)I know that there are some 5.65 jack mics that are unbalanced because the connection is only divided into two parts, but don't XLR mics split the hot and cold channels?
