Right, now I am paranoid.

My laptop was fine before I went to work. I come home, switch it on and it beeps at me and turns off. I try again, same result. I conclude this must be a keyboard error [which is strange, considering keys dont get jammed when the lid is down], so I press the most used ones to see if that has an effect. It does and sure enough I'm back into Windows. I open up and chat window and start typing.

This is the fun part. I find that holding down the Left Shift key doesnt work with certain characters, and the right shift key with even less!!!
WTF is happening? This must be a hardware fault, but that can't happen unless someone has been using my laptop whilst I was at work.

Help???
