Moving Out

Having a chat here with some guys at work I've realised that I may have to get my own place a lot sooner than I had originally planned, especially with the influx of students in June/July/August.
As such I'm planning to move out of where I'm currently living at the end of June/July. I would move out sooner to beat the influx but I cannot afford to for at least another three months.
Currently I'm planning to move to Leeds. I've seen some really nice places in Beeston (two-bed terrace, loft conversion and cellar) and in order to make the move comfortably I'd like to have £3K available to me for the initial rent plus bond and admin charges and enough left over to kit the place out with white goods (washer/dryer, fridge-freezer, etc). Also depending on the Council Tax and bills for the place I could be paying around £750-£950 pcm. That'll all be by myself until
damonblackpaw moves over here in January (tentative date) and is able to get work too.
Fair play, with a £1250+ pcm wage I'd be able to live with £300 left over each month but that really doesn't help with savings.
We shall see how this all pans out, but if I do make the move earlier this year then I doubt I'll be doing anything incredibly social apart from the conventions I've already arranged to make. Once Damon moves over here next year things will get a helluva lot easier.
Ugh. Hassle. XD

Date: 2008-04-10 12:28 pm (UTC)1) Only a hour (at most) travel to work.
2) It's a nice (and big) city.
3) It's a central city (so easy to get around the country).
4) Cheaper houses to rent.
5) More job opportunities for Damon. :)
It's a little father away from Sheffield, but only by 20 minutes on the train. XD
Ohyes, I'll be coming over on Saturday morning. What time is good for you? :)
