The Centurions
May. 7th, 2008 02:03 amYes, another Centurions entry. :P
Cartoons like "The Centurions" probably helped foster a love of anime in me which has yet to fade. Although I knew that
(responsible for Cowboy Bebop) was responsible for the animation of the series, along with many other cartoons of the time, it hadn't clicked with me until these last couple of days. The anime stylings are now quite apparent to me, which leads me to conclude that I've been watching anime for most of my life. :D
Oh yes, I also remembered what the first anime I ever saw was: Gaiking (Dubbed). It was on a bootleg VHS, with some crazy, computer generated, wireframe animation before the actual show. I don't recall if the intro was a bootleg "demo" or something, but I do remember that it wasn't used to replace the show's titles.
This was probably somewhere between '86 and '89.
Now I just need to find a dubbed copy of Gaiking. :D Scratch that, I've found DVDs. :D
